Cuyama River Tamarisk Safari Base Camp with Day Hiking

Just north of Ojai and the Dick Smith Wilderness, join us for a stewardship adventure in the Cuyama River watershed, treating invasive tamarisk (with low-toxicity herbicide) while day hiking along the riverbed. It’s easy hiking, and you’ll find track and sign of native wildlife everywhere.

Feast and Campout

Saturday evening we’ll enjoy a delish community feast, toasty campfire, and camp out under the starry night sky with great people like you. Sunday morning we’ll enjoy a short excursion hike and then work just a few hours before heading out early Sunday afternoon. Bring your basic camping gear and spirit of adventure!
