Do you long to get away and explore the great digital savanna of computer programming? Or, perhaps, do
you worry that you’ve started your computational adventure without a map? Fear not! I will be your guide, walking
you through the digital savanna and showing you examples of the finest specimens from each language – that is, the
instances where each language can help you most in different contexts of your teaching and/or research involving
mathematics. I will show only the sunniest highlights and fiercest animals from Mathematica, MATLAB, Python, R,
JavaScript, Fortran, and C. So, the next time you come upon a wild problem, you will be ready!
