SUMMARY:Musch Trail Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:Join Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council on February 29th at Topanga State Park for Trail Maintenance of Musch Trail.  \n8:30AM Routine trail maintenance. This will be a joint project with the Sierra Club Task Force. SMMTC will work from the Eagle Springs Fire Rd. SCTF will work from the Musch camp. Meet at Trippet Ranch\, Topanga State Park. Take Entrada Rd. from Topanga Canyon Blvd. \nLeader: Greg Sweel 310-452-4443 \nBefore You Go \nMost trail work is on Saturdays and we usually start work at 8:30AM. Be punctual. \nSometimes we may hike a mile or two to the work site.  \nWe generally work until 2:30 with some variation (rain\, heat or we run out of work) \nView the Calendar and select a time and place where you would like to work. \nCall the Leader listed for the date you selected to let him/her know you are coming. \nWatch the Training and Safety Video and follow the instructions. \nReview the “Know Before you Go” Page. \nReview the mini “Trail Work Guide”. \nBring water and lunch. \nWear sturdy shoes or boots\, long pants\, work gloves\, hat\, long sleeve shirt and eye protection. \nLink to Map

DESCRIPTION:Join Food Forward in this farmers market glean! \nHarvest food\, fight hunger\, build community at your local farmers market! We collect fresh\, local produce that would otherwise go to waste and donate 100% to local hunger-relief agencies. Join the Volunteer Glean Team to help us collect donations of fresh produce from vendors at the farmers market and box\, sort\, and weigh the produce. Volunteers should be comfortable carrying boxes of produce that may weigh up to 40 pounds\, but don’t need to worry about bringing equipment or transporting the food. \nRSVP Here:Register for this event
