SUMMARY:Fence Removal Day- CI Audubon Club
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fence repair day on Ormond Beach! The nesting habitat fences badly need repairs. We are removing damaged fences (T-posts and mesh) pulling posts out of ground and digging them out of dunes\,taking mesh fencing down and in some cases dug out of dunes\, rolled up and put into storage. We need people willing to work hard to do some very meaningful and important work for our endangered birds! Hours can be signed off on for service learning. \nCarpooling is reccomended. If in need of a carpool or can drive\, contact Alissa Goldberg (Alissa.Goldberg906@myci.csuci.edu or instagram @alissabryn). \nRequired: Long pants\, close toes shoes\, hat\, water\, sun screen\, bring work gloves if you have them\, dress in layers

DESCRIPTION:Join Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council on October 12th at Point Mugu State Park for Trail Maintenance of Backbone Trail and Wood Canyon Vista Trail! \n8:30AM This will be a joint project with the Sierra Club Task Force. SMMTC will work from the top of Trail down with the Sierra Club working from the bottom up. Meet at the end of Wendy Dr. and Potrero Rd. for shuttle.\nLeader: Dave Edwards 805-279-3029\nLink to Map \nBefore You Go \nMost trail work is on Saturdays and we usually start work at 8:30AM. Be punctual. \nSometimes we may hike a mile or two to the work site.  \nWe generally work until 2:30 with some variation (rain\, heat or we run out of work) \nView the Calendar and select a time and place where you would like to work. \nCall the Leader listed for the date you selected to let him/her know you are coming. \nWatch the Training and Safety Video and follow the instructions. \nReview the “Know Before you Go” Page. \nReview the mini “Trail Work Guide”. \nBring water and lunch. \nWear sturdy shoes or boots\, long pants\, work gloves\, hat\, long sleeve shirt and eye protection.
