SUMMARY:2018 Ventura River to the Sea Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:The Ventura Land trust and Ventura Surfrider Foundation are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual Ventura River to the Sea Coastal Cleanup. Volunteers from both organizations are invited to join us as we clean up trash from Ventura River estuary property near the Ventura County Fairgrounds. \nWe will gather together at 9 am in the Ventura County Fairgrounds dirt lot and fan out into the estuary to clean\, clear and beautify the area. Our goal is to clear out as much trash as possible from the estuary BEFORE the rainy season begins and washes the trash onto nearby beaches and into the ocean.

DESCRIPTION:Farming an acre with volunteers is no small feat. Many hands are needed\, and we welcome yours. We invite you to come dig\, weed\, learn\, teach\, ask questions\, take a shift on irrigation\, cook for our Saturday meals\, share ideas\, or donate materials or funding. You can help in whatever way you’d like. Volunteering with us is rewarding because it is tangible—you can watch it grow!—and for the simple satisfaction of working with others on something meaningful. Working in the garden is also a fun way to complete needed community service hours. \n  \n\n\nWork/Play Days\nWednesdays 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. \nSaturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Lunch provided at 11:00 a.m.) \nFor more information on volunteering\, contact us at 805-616-2326.\n\n  \nIf you’d like to volunteer in the garden\, please bring a sunhat and sturdy shoes.
