Emily Fairfax

PhD Candidate, Department of Geosciences, University of Colorado Boulder

Emily Fairfax will be joining us on Thursday and Friday, March 7 and 8, for the third week of campus visits.  This and associated campus visits are the final phase of our hiring process for a new tenure track faculty member specializing in Coastal Data Artistry.  The new faculty member will join ESRM in fall of 2019. 

Ms. Fairfax is an ecohydrologist currently exploring the history and dynamics of beavers across various landscapes.  Her work often focuses on how ecosystem engineers impact resiliency and other ecosystem functions, frequently incorporating interdisciplinary data visualization and analysis.

Emily’s Research Seminar will be Thursday, 6-7pm in Broome 2480

Emily’s Teaching Demo will be Friday, 10-11am in Broome 2480
