Dr. Charles Boch

Postdoctoral Researcher, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute

Dr. Charlie Boch will be joining us on Thursday and Friday, February 21 and 22, for the first week of campus visits.  This and associated campus visits are the final phase of our hiring process for a new tenure track faculty member specializing in Coastal Data Artistry.  The new faculty member will join ESRM in fall of 2019. 

Dr. Boch in a marine ecologist who has worked on a variety of systems from Antarctica’s open-oceans, to coral reefs in the Caribbean and Pacific, to deep-sea coral and sponges off of central California, and kelp forest and estuarine systems across California and Baja.  His work often focuses on marine invertebrates in the context of anthropogenic stressors and frequently incorporates interdisciplinary data visualization and analysis.

Charlie’s Research Seminar will be Thursday, 6-7pm in Broome 2480

Charlie’s Teaching Demo will be Friday, 10-11am in Broome 2480
